Beyond break-fix

Break-fix keeps the lights on. It won't keep you ahead.

Most small businesses buy IT one emergency at a time. That works right up until a surprise expense, a failed audit, or a vendor no one owns lands at the worst possible moment. Strategic IT is the layer that sees it coming.

Hardware fails on its own schedule — and blows up the budget

Servers, firewalls, and workstations all age out. Without a refresh plan, every failure becomes an emergency purchase — full price, full urgency, no leverage.

Nobody actually owns the vendor relationships

Your ISP, your software vendors, your phone system, your cloud apps — when something breaks between them, everyone points at everyone else and you're the one left on hold.

Compliance gaps surface at the worst possible time

A client security questionnaire, a cyber-insurance renewal, or a HIPAA review asks for documentation you don't have — and now it's an emergency instead of a plan.

IT spend has no forecast

When every project and replacement is a fresh surprise, budgeting is guesswork. Leadership can't plan around a number nobody can predict.

The strategic layer

What a vCIO engagement actually delivers.

Not a quarterly slide deck for its own sake — concrete outputs that put you in front of your technology instead of behind it.

Common questions

What's the difference between this and regular IT support?

Regular support fixes what's broken today. Strategic IT — a vCIO engagement — is the planning layer on top: roadmaps, budgets, vendor management, and quarterly reviews that keep your technology aligned with where the business is heading. Most of our clients get both under one flat rate.

Do I have to move all my IT to you to get this?

No. If you already have internal IT or another provider, we can run a standalone or co-managed vCIO engagement — the strategy and oversight layer — while your existing team handles the day-to-day. We scope it to fit.

Who actually leads the strategy work?

Kareem, the founder, leads it directly, backed by our senior engineers. Ten-plus years in enterprise IT, including time at JPMorgan Chase and inside highly secured data-center environments. You get senior judgment, not a junior tech reading from a script.

How much does a vCIO engagement cost?

For managed clients, the roadmap, budget, and quarterly reviews are included in the flat per-workstation rate — no separate line item. Standalone engagements for businesses with their own IT team are scoped and quoted in writing. Book a strategy call and we'll give you a straight number.
